so we say:
NEW IS OVER!
a practical action
to stop clothes
We do upcycling! All the materials we use are
recovered and than assembled
by hand creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.
We do not have stocks of fabrics of all colors and sizes,
what we have is what is processed by Insieme Social Enterprise’s
textile laboratory, and here the game begins!
New is Over
With our project we divert textile from landfills saving as much fabric as possible. E.g. soft and precious cashmere sweaters with holes on the elbow, colorful 80’s pile stained with coffee, severe work uniforms that lack only a fancy touch to have a second chance.
1 single fibre
The pieces we sell are made from single-fibre materials, e.g. 100% cashmere, 100%polyester, 100%cotton (all recovered, of course). Why? Today, material blends are not recycled, due to the amount of research and energy required to separate the different fibres from each other. The more a material is homogenous, the more chances it has to be returned to the cycle*.
*Global Fashion Agenda 2021
We do believe in a kind of fashion that is sustainable both for the environment and for people.New is Over project takes place within Cooperativa Insieme, which has been active in Vicenza for more than 40 years with an innovative approach to waste reduction and job inclusion of disadvantaged people.
3... is a circular revolution
fashion is a means of self-expression and a way of communicating with the world. We want our clothes to express the circular revolution of fashion – colorful, unique, made with passion and care from the very clothes that get discarded!
